The startup enables its customers to send app users relevant advertising push messages to their smartphones. The Munich-based ad tech company has now achieved a market penetration of 25 percent in the push marketing platform sector. Since its founding, the startup has grown rapidly and secured funding from several business angels and investors in its latest round of financing. Wayra Germany earn a six-figure sum.
Merger as a strategic step for matchinguu
For the Munich-based company, the collaboration with Verve is a strategic move: The goal of startup founders Felix Heberle and Jaron Schächter was to expand into Europe and North America. The merger with the US company Verve is a good fit. Jaron Schächter, COO of matchinguu, explained:
"Our core objectives and those of Verve fit together very well. Matchinguu's goal has always been to develop high-quality, mobile-first campaigns and technical products for our clients. Both companies also benefit from synergies, for example, in terms of their customer base."
Ian James, General Manager International at Verve adds:
“The acquisition was a natural fit because our technologies complement each other and we share the same goal: outstanding storytelling using location-based data.”
With the merger, the German mobile advertising market has gained a major competitor.
