German Founders' Prize: MTZ Director Mann honored

Cristina Mann, director of the Munich Technology Center, was honored as a "Top Expert" by the German Founders' Award. She has been nominating companies from her organization for the prestigious award for years.

The Münchner Technologiezentrum (MTZ) is home to more than 100 companies, a large proportion of which are startups. Administrative Director Cristina Mann recently told us in a interviewwhat her company offers young companies. She has now been honored as a "Top Expert" at the German Founders' Award for her many years of work.

“Promising startups among my tenants”

For years, Mann has been identifying suitable companies within her own company, which she recommends for awards in the "Startup" and "Up-and-Comers" categories. At the 2017 Founders' Award, Mann's suggestion, BLOKS., based at the MTZ, was among the top ten German startups. MTZ Director Cristina Mann says:

"The criteria for the German Founders' Award nominations are high, but in all these years, I've never had a problem finding such promising startups or up-and-comers among my tenants. We have so many innovative founders and visionaries that it's always a pleasure for me not only to observe their success, but also to help them achieve their goals with the high-profile nomination for the German Founders' Award."

The MTZ is part of the Munich Commercial Court and Technology Center Company Ltd., which also operates Munich Startup.
