The Future Agro Challenge (FAC) is once again seeking innovative companies in the food and agriculture sector. Applications for the title of "Agribusiness of the Year" are open until August 25.
FAC is a global competition for food tech and agricultural startups. Eligibility requires that applicant companies are no older than five years and can present a viable product. The startups' goals may include increasing agricultural productivity, saving water in agriculture, or implementing new technologies.
The winners can then call themselves “Agribusiness of the Year” and receive access to networking channels in various markets as well as media attention that promotes the development of the company.
German preliminary round in Dortmund
The application for the German preliminary round is open until August 25. Interested companies fill out a questionnaire on the international homepage of the competition The RKW Competence Center will then select six companies. The selected startups will present themselves to a jury at the "Die Initiale" startup fair in Dortmund on September 29. The winner will then represent Germany at the international finals of the Future Agro Challenge in spring 2018.
