Big news from Bits & Pretzels: The founders’ festival has secured TV entertainer Stefan Raab as this year’s opening speaker.
It is not an easy legacy for entertainer, entrepreneur and early retiree Stefan Raab. The self-proclaimed "King of Fun" will be present at this year's edition of the founders' spectacle Bits & Pretzels give the opening speech. Last year, Oscar winner Kevin Spacey took on this task and received a standing ovation.
The Bits & Pretzels organizers Andreas Bruckschlögl, Bernd Storm and Felix Haas have once again demonstrated a keen eye for selecting a compelling keynote speaker. After all, Raab has been extremely rare since his retirement from the stage at the end of 2015. His rare appearances—for example, as Udo Lindenberg's drummer in the summer of 2016—receive a correspondingly high level of attention. Just two weeks ago, Raab announced that he would be producing a new startup show called "Das Ding des Jahres" (The Thing of the Year) for his former broadcaster, ProSieben.
“Stefan Raab has an absolute can-do mentality”
The three Bits & Pretzels heads Bruckschlögl, Storm and Haas are certainly happy about their coup:
"Stefan Raab has a can-do mentality and never stops developing new ideas and driving them forward. In his pursuit of perfection, he never loses sight of detail. We are thrilled to welcome one of the greatest entrepreneurs in German show business to our Bits & Pretzels stage. Stefan Raab is a perfect inspiration for our audience and a motivation to be creative, innovative, and courageous."
Bits & Pretzels 2017 will take place from September 24th to 26th in Munich.
