The Munich startup nearBees has already won three awards this year with his "Honey from Next Door." A fourth is within reach.
The first award this year recognized the sustainability of local honey. Since 2011, the German Council for Sustainable Development has been honoring ideas and initiatives that make our society more sustainable. In 2017, the social startup nearBees was among the nearly 70 projects honored with the "Project Sustainability" seal of quality.
Another award for local honey within reach
The "UN Decade on Biodiversity," on the other hand, works to protect and preserve biodiversity. Since 2011, in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for the Environment and the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation, a competition has been launched for initiatives that are particularly committed to preserving biodiversity. In 2017, the Munich-based company was selected as one of the "Excellent UN Decade Projects" and is currently in the running for "Project of the Month for July."
The Trockels Foundation's "Food Invention" competition, a startup competition specializing in food startups, is honoring innovative projects in the food sector for the second time. In addition to four other projects from the traditional food sectors, this year's award also included a digital concept, nearBees.
