The Munich venture capital company Target Partners strengthens its team and brings Jan Wolter on board as Venture Partner.
Wolter continued to lead the European business of the testing software Applause as Managing Director. Wolter founded Testhub in 2011, which merged with US competitor uTest to form Applause in May 2014. Since 2014, under Wolter's leadership, the company has expanded into over ten countries and increased its revenue in Europe 30-fold.
"As a founder, I first came to appreciate Target Partners in 2014. I was impressed by their focus on investing in strong technology and enterprise software startups in German-speaking countries. These are precisely the startups that fascinate me the most,"
says Jan WolterHe holds a Master's degree from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim.
Target Partners has big names in its portfolio
Berthold von Freyberg, Partner at Target Partners, says:
"Jan has deep insights into the rapid developments in the enterprise software sector. Our portfolio companies and we at Target Partners will benefit from this. We are delighted to welcome Jan as a Venture Partner."
The Munich-based company claims to be one of the leading early-stage venture capital firms in Germany. Its portfolio includes, among others, NavVis, tado, Theva and Finanzchef24.
Note: An earlier version of this article stated that Jan Wolter was no longer Managing Director of Applause's European business. We have corrected this.
