BayBG participates in German RepRap

The BayBG Bavarian Investment Company has become a minority shareholder in the company as part of a seven-figure financing round. German RepRap GmbH The company is positioning itself as a technology leader for use in new product areas in industry by developing a new 3D printing process.

German RepRap's innovative 3D printing process enables new applications in industry, for example, in medical technology, automotive engineering, and mechanical engineering. With specially developed printing materials, larger and more complex workpieces can be produced using so-called Liquid Additive Manufacturing (LAM) technology. The significantly higher mechanical strength also offers advantages and new application possibilities for industry.

Open source approach convinces

"Our B2B customers greatly appreciate the open-source approach offered by German RepRap 3D printers. It's possible to define individual processes, change materials, and adjust temperature or speed. This sets them apart from the mostly closed systems of the competition."

Rapid growth through rapid market development
