For the seventh time, the Oktoberfest for Munich's startup scene doesn't just start on Saturday. "O'pitched is!" is the motto on Friday, September 15, at the Venture Wiesn, where investors will pitch to the startups. And don't forget: You can win tickets through us!
Venture capitalists pitch to startups
Organized by startups for startups, the 7th Venture Wiesn will take place this year at the Augustinerkeller on Arnulfstraße. Here, investors will pitch to founders. In the elevator pitch, investors must prove they have mastered this discipline as well, as it's usually startups who pitch their ideas to VCs.
At Venture Wiesn, the organizers turn the tables. Venture capitalists like Vito Ventures, Early Bird, and Coparion VC are put through their paces by founders and startups. Naturally, some business angels and accelerators are also on hand.
Things are getting heated when it comes to financing
Even during thematic Variations of classic beer tent competitions such as the 'Financing Stemmen', the audience usually gets very excited. The good atmosphere at the 
Venture Wiesn facilitates what can, under other circumstances, be a very serious meeting between investors and founders. The best part is that startups can easily present their idea over a beer. If the idea generates interest from the VC, the advantage is that when you sit down at the negotiating table later, you'll already know each other.
Bring ideas for urban mobility and digital platforms
New this year: Ernst & Young (EY) is holding a workshop to generate ideas for a pilot platform in the field of "urban mobility." This platform will also benefit startups in the future, supporting them in the phases from idea generation to market readiness. Unfortunately, the spots are already fully booked—but it's certainly possible to get in touch with key players beforehand.
