CATCHYS is the winner of the second Munich Startup Award. The award was presented by Mayor and Wiesn director Josef Schmid at Oktoberfest. The prize is endowed with €5,000.
CATCHYS successfully prevailed against 700 competitors in its pitch at Bits & Pretzels. For the second time, the best Munich company will be honored with the Munich Startup Award as a special prize.
Award ceremony at the Oktoberfest
As part of the networking meeting of the Bits & Pretzels participants at the Oktoberfest, the head of the Department of Labor and Economic Affairs, Mayor Josef Schmid, presented the second “Munich Startup Award” in the Schottenhamel Festival Hall.
Mayor Josef Schmid:
"With the Munich Startup Award, we are supporting an outstanding young Munich company. Dedicated startups and their innovative spirit enrich our city – and that deserves to be rewarded."
In addition to the award, the winning team will receive prize money of 5,000 euros, donated by Munich Startup, a project of MGH – Münchner Gewerbehof- und Technologiezentrums GmbH.
Powerful pitch and innovative idea convinced the jury
Gabriele Böhmer, editorial director of Munich Startup and member of the jury, is enthusiastic about the winning startup:

CATCHYS is an online metasearch engine for fashion, furniture, watches, and jewelry. As an aggregator, the Munich-based startup manages the complete range of international second-hand and second-season marketplaces and sale offers from online shops – from Zara to Prada. It brings together over five million products on one site.
The Munich Startup Award is intended to help make the innovative strength of Munich startups more visible.
The winners of the 2nd Munich Startup Awards
