The Deutsche Börse Venture Network and the High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) have formalized their existing collaboration with the conclusion of a cooperation agreement. The goal of the partnership is to further link the existing programs to closely support startups throughout the entire financing and growth phase.
The HTGF is the first point of contact for early-stage financing, and as companies continue to grow, they receive discounted membership in the Deutsche Börse Venture Network – and thus access to a network of currently more than 260 international investors.
“Coordinated support in financing and growth issues”
“Our common goal is to provide emerging young companies with more liquidity,”
said Eric Leupold, Head of Pre-IPO & Capital Markets at Deutsche Börse.
“Through this cooperation, startups now receive close and coordinated support in financing and growth matters from the seed phase to the exit.”
Alex von Frankenberg, Managing Director of High-Tech Gründerfonds, said:
"Both platforms are groundbreaking for startups at very different stages. The Deutsche Börse Venture Network is an important partner for the continued financing of our portfolio companies."
The HTGF is Germany's most active early-stage investor and has long been a member of the Deutsche Börse Venture Network. Furthermore, several HTGF portfolio companies are members of Deutsche Börse's growth financing ecosystem. With a total volume of approximately €875 million across three funds, young, innovative technology startups are being financed. A total of three investment teams focus on hardware-related engineering, life sciences, chemistry and materials science, as well as software, media, and the internet. Investors in the public-private partnership include the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, KfW, and over 30 well-known companies.
The Deutsche Börse Venture Network was founded in 2015 by Deutsche Börse AG to better provide startups with growth capital. The network is aimed at companies from early to later stages. Admission to the network requires meeting specific criteria depending on the financing phase. It currently includes approximately 160 companies. The investors include venture capital, private equity, family offices, corporate ventures, and venture debt investors. They come from the USA, England, Germany, and Asia, among others.
