Apply now for the German-Dutch Business Award!

Since 2008, the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce (DNHK) has been honoring outstanding companies for their commitment to their neighboring country and their cross-border successes with the German-Dutch Business Award. With ten awards, nearly 400 applicants, and approximately 20,000 online votes, this is the largest award of its kind in the Netherlands. This year's award focuses on startups.

 Who wins?

The DNHK awards the German-Dutch Business Prize to companies and projects that:

  • are particularly innovative,
  • implement special developments or processes,
  • provide a special economic stimulus in both countries or specific regions,
  • stand for high entrepreneurial success,
  • have attracted a lot of attention.

Successful marketing campaigns or general business successes are also considered for the award.

 Which companies are considered startups?

Based on the criteria of the Federal Association of German Startups, companies can participate in this competition if:

  • are usually not older than ten years,
  • are growth-oriented,
  • have a scalable business model,
  • was founded in Germany or the Netherlands or plans to be founded in Germany / the Netherlands or has its registered office or a branch in Germany / the Netherlands,
  • Have founders on board who are still significantly involved in the company.

 Registration deadline and selection procedure

Startups can until 27 September 2017 apply onlineRegistration takes no longer than 10 minutes. A jury will evaluate all applicants by the end of October and select the finalists. At the end of October, all participants will be informed of their progress or elimination. The finalists will be invited to the awards ceremony gala on November 6, 2017, in The Hague. They will have the opportunity to present their company in a pitch that evening.
