Five out of eleven: This is the impressive haul of Munich startups at Weconomy 2017. As part of the startup competition A jury selected the most creative and innovative business ideas and business models of young companies. The Bavarian capital clearly came out on top.
The five winners from the state capital
The team of KEWAZO GbR impressed with its system of robot modules and rails. By transporting scaffolding components to the location to be assembled, work on construction sites can be carried out more safely, efficiently, and flexibly.
Inveox GmbH won with its "smart sample container." By automating the entry of laboratory samples into pathology, they no longer need to be manually labeled, repackaged, and inspected.
Also HIGGS livestreaming technologies UG was able to prevail over the other participants. The team developed software that allows anyone to produce professional live streams.
The Mecuris GmbH was also among the winners. It produces certified prosthetics and orthoses using 3D printing. Patients can help shape the design via an interactive platform.
The founders of the Toposens GmbHThe startup develops 3D sensor systems based on ultrasound technology and, according to its own estimates, is one of the first companies worldwide to develop 3D sensor technology without the use of lenses. It was thus the fifth Munich-based startup to be included in the Weconomy winners' circle in 2017.
They will all benefit from a WECONOMY weekend, where they will receive valuable feedback and tips from top managers and entrepreneurs on how to further develop their business model. The WECONOMY team will also be on hand for a year with advice and support, helping them with further implementation.
