The application portal for lawyers Talent Rocket is taking a strategically important step by acquiring Lawyered, a rival startup based in Düsseldorf. The Munich-based company hopes to gain an advantage in the recruiting market for legal scholars.
The deal was closed at the end of July, and the online presences have since merged. The two parties did not disclose details such as the purchase price.

Philip Commander, Co-Founder of Lawyered, who will now continue to work in the Talent Rocket team, just like his co-founder Sebastian von Glahn, is optimistic about their shared future:

According to Talent Rocket founder Yacine Coco Lawyered brings the technical expertise of a comprehensive candidate database, which employers can search for anonymized profiles. Meanwhile, Talent Rocket has a matching algorithm designed to match employees and employers as easily and appropriately as possible. With these combined forces, the company intends to conquer the market from now on. However, according to the founders, they don't want to limit their activities to the legal market, but are already thinking bigger. They don't want to reveal any details yet, however.
