On October 1, Munich-based company builder Mantro and energy provider EnBW founded the Munich-based company LIV-T. The new company develops and markets IoT products for smart energy applications.
With the Oilfox, an intelligent level meter for heating oil tanks, and the Raumgold indoor climate system, the young company already has two products. LIV-T currently employs 16 people and is targeting sales of 5 million euros for 2018. The company name comes from the English term living-time.

These are the first two products from LIV-T
EnBW and Mantro jointly developed the Oilfox. In the first three months after its launch, sales of the device exceeded €150,000. The Oilfox is an intelligent level gauge for heating oil tanks. It is attached to the heating oil tank and uses a wireless internet connection to report the remaining oil level to the associated app. If the oil level is running low, the customer is notified, receives a quote from a heating oil supplier, and can reorder via the app. Since March 2017, the Oilfox has been sold as a white-label product by BayWa and Mobene.
Raumgold has been successfully tested as a prototype and is now set to go on sale. By measuring noise levels, movement, and air quality, the device controls the heating and provides recommendations for optimal ventilation. Through regular appointments, Raumgold learns to control the indoor climate in advance.
