EY buys company builder etventure

The management consultancy EY (Ernst & Young) has acquired the digital consultancy and company builder etventure. The company will remain within the EY Group.

The strategy consultancy etventure specializes in digital transformation and the development of digital business models. Founded in 2010, the company remains an independent company within the EY Group. The three founders, Philipp Depiereux, Philipp Herrmann, and Christian Lüdtke, remain managing directors.

Etventure brings digital expertise to EY

The company builder works with innovation methods such as design thinking and lean startup. The company has been advising corporations and medium-sized companies on digital transformation for seven years and is building its own startups. Depiereux says:

"It is these strengths that have made us digital pioneers in the market, rapidly developing digital business models for our clients. We are now bringing this experience to EY's consulting business—with the goal of shaping the consulting of the future. At the same time, we benefit from EY's position as one of the "Big Four"—the world's largest audit firms by revenue. Together, we can become a true game changer for our clients."

Julie Linn Teigland from EY says:

"With etventure, we have gained a highly innovative and excellently positioned consultancy. EY, with its international market access, deep industry expertise, and multidisciplinary consulting services, and etventure, with its startup culture and exceptional digital expertise, complement each other perfectly."
