UnternehmerTUM fund invests in GNA Biosolutions

The UnternehmerTUM fund, Robert Bosch Venture Capital, SHS Gesellschaft für Beteiligungsmanagement and b-to-v Partners are investing six million euros in the GNA Biosolutions GmbH (GNA).

The financing round is being led by Robert Bosch Venture Capital. Existing shareholders include Mey Capital Matrix, KfW, and the company founders themselves. The funds will be used to develop the first product, the Pharos400, to market readiness.

GNA – a spin-off of the LMU Munich based in Martinsried – enables the robust detection of pathogens using a laser-based PCR method. In addition…
