IDnow and Omnicare: Finalists for “Entrepreneur Of The Year 2017”

The finalists for the “Entrepreneur Of The Year 2017” award have been announced – and two Munich-based startups are among them: IDnow and Omnicare. The business award recognizes entrepreneurship, innovation, and personal commitment and will be presented on November 17.

The consulting firm EY (Ernst & Young) is presenting the "Entrepreneur of the Year 2017" award to Germany's best owner-managed medium-sized businesses. After a multi-stage selection process, 29 companies made it to the finals of the competition this year. For over 30 years, EY has been honoring selected entrepreneurs in 60 countries for outstanding achievements.

Which German company impresses the jury with its growth rates, innovative strength, and commitment? We're keeping our fingers crossed for the two Munich-based companies: Omnicare has built a strong company for outpatient oncology care since 2012. IDnow enables electronic identification of individuals and ensures secure digital contract signatures.

Growth, future potential, innovation

The jury's assessment criteria include growth, future potential, innovation, leadership, and social responsibility. The award is presented in various categories: industry, services and IT, consumer goods and retail, digital transformation, and startups. Additionally, an exemplary family business and an entrepreneurial personality are honored for their exceptional social commitment.

Who will be Entrepreneur Of The Year 2017?

The final "Entrepreneur of the Year 2017" will be chosen by an independent jury of renowned business experts. The awards ceremony will take place on November 17 at the German Historical Museum in Berlin. The gala event, with dinner speaker Christian Lindner (FDP) and numerous personalities from business, politics, and culture, will focus on the winners and finalists of the competition.
