The first BCB Business Award 2017, announced by the Business Club Bavaria, goes to Oktoberfest dreamThe Munich-based startup impressed the jury not only with its sustainably produced products, but also with its existing know-how, well-thought-out processes, creativity, and realistic growth opportunities.
The Business Club Bavaria This year, the BCB Business Award was presented for the first time. The award was intended to recognize the achievements and associated social responsibility that Bavarian companies assume for society. All Bavarian companies were eligible to participate in three categories:
- Startups in the pre-foundation phase or in the first two years after founding,
- Existing companies, self-employed persons and freelancers with up to 30 employees and
- Companies with more than 30 employees.
Once the nominations were announced, the participating entrepreneurs were able to activate their network and have their names voted for them. The six companies with the most votes were able to personally present themselves to an interested audience at the BCB Impulse Day and take the opportunity to impress the jury with a short pitch.
And the winner is…
The final winner was Wiesntraum KG. Founded in 2015 by René Kerkhoff and Tobias Thiermann, the Munich-based startup creates traditional bags and accessories from pure natural materials. The founders were presented not only with the winner's trophy in the form of a porcelain lion, but also with a voucher from AOK Bayern and a promise of extensive coaching support.
