Fast, secure, and structured results — with this goal in mind, the Munich-based startup Smart Reporting and Agfa HealthCare, provider of diagnostic imaging and IT-supported healthcare solutions, announce their future sales cooperation.
Diagnosis forms the basis for many treatment recommendations. In times of steadily increasing examination volumes and more complex clinical pictures, structured reporting is becoming one of the key radiological topics of the future. The Munich-based startup Smart Reporting has recognized this and developed its software solution Smart Radiology developed from daily medical applications in order to be able to offer treating physicians intelligent diagnostic support.
The goal: a smooth workflow
Agfa HealthCare, a major player in the diagnostic imaging market, also recognizes the benefits of this solution and announces its sales cooperation with the Munich-based startup. The Bonn-based IT company expects the implementation of the Smart Reporting solution to significantly increase the efficiency of its existing solutions. Marcus Muth, Product Manager for ORBIS RIS, Agfa HealthCare's radiology information system, says:
"We will fully integrate Smart Radiology, the solution for structured reporting, into ORBIS RIS, thus ensuring a smooth workflow without the radiologist having to leave their familiar work environment."
Smart Radiology supports radiologists in their core task of preparing reports. This involves using report templates that have been tested by experts in everyday clinical practice.
"Users can report examinations in a structured manner using templates, such as prostate MRI, or integrate individual modules into their free text, such as the description of pulmonary nodules according to Fleischner criteria or the classification of pulmonary fibrosis according to current guidelines. Smart Radiology's intuitive editor also allows users to create their own report templates in no time,"
Muth explains the key advantages of the solution.
Another advantage: Since Smart Radiology is a cloud-based solution, all templates available in the solution are available to all users.
