Low interest rates, low external financing needs thanks to high internal financing capacity, and an economic recovery despite unfavorable conditions are once again improving companies' financing situation. Never before since the company survey began in 2001 have large and small companies assessed the financing climate more positively than now.
However, the business survey also shows that small and young businesses continue to face difficulties in obtaining credit: Low credit ratings, difficulties in providing sufficient collateral, and subsequent loan rejections continue to be concentrated in these two groups of companies. One problem is that many small businesses are unaware of their credit rating.
