TandemCamp: Apply now for a cooperation with Fraunhofer!

Get a strong partner on board and become a project partner of a Fraunhofer Institute. Applications for the TandemCamp are open until January 21, 2018.

The Tandem Camp is a format to support collaborations between Fraunhofer Institutes and startups. Here, tandems can receive both technical support and a cooperation budget for the initial steps of their joint collaboration.

Who can participate?

Selected tandems consisting of Fraunhofer researchers and external startups who wish to plan or expand joint projects are welcome to apply. We are looking for tandems from all technology areas who:

  • are motivated to work together,
  • Be able to invest time in the initiation and implementation of a joint project and
  • jointly pursue innovative business models with high market potential.

If you and your startup are still looking for a Fraunhofer partner, For a matching, please contact the Fraunhofer TechBridge team directlyIdeally, you should name 1-2 institutes that would be of interest to you and also state what topic you are looking for a tandem partner for.

What can you win?

Fraunhofer startup collaborations mean interesting use cases, innovative strength and growth potential for both partners:

  • Planning workshop for better organization of cooperation
  • Pitch training for targeted cooperation applications and financing searches
  • Individual tandem coaching by our cooperation coaches
  • Financing of the first cooperation steps in the amount of €10,000 (e.g. for a feasibility study)
  • Prospect of follow-up financing of up to €60,000

What are the evaluation criteria and other requirements?

  • Resources for the implementation of the cooperation will be provided by both sides
  • The aim of the cooperation is to exploit Fraunhofer know-how or technology
  • Cooperation projects with a medium to long-term time horizon are preferred
