Startups, founders, and young companies are invited to participate in Barmer's "Digital Health Competition." Digital solutions for sustainable health promotion are being sought until January 22, 2018.
It doesn't matter whether the focus is on healthy nutrition, promoting physical activity, addiction prevention, or promoting health literacy. What matters is that users are addressed wherever they live and spend their time.

"Digitalization has the potential to not only further develop the healthcare system, but to revolutionize it. We see a growing need for prevention. We therefore hope to see many clever and exciting solutions from the competition participants that will significantly facilitate prevention in everyday life,"
emphasized Barmer board member and patron of the competition Dr. Mani Rafii.
Barmer accompanies winners on their way to market readiness
The healthcare market is very opaque to outsiders. There are many hurdles and legal requirements. Barmer aims to prepare the winners for statutory health insurance. The jury will therefore select three digital solutions, which will then be supported on their complex path to the healthcare market. This includes a structured exchange and coaching with Barmer experts on the implementation and development potential of the products. An internal jury will first evaluate all applications after the submission deadline and decide which eight proposals will be invited to present. The jury will select the three winners from these eight.
