HIGH JUMP For the first time, the HOCHSPRUNG Award recognizes concepts that promote start-up dynamics and entrepreneurship culture at universities in Bavaria. The HOCHSPRUNG Award is endowed with a total of €5,000 in prize money.
The competition is aimed at institutions and individuals at all universities in Bavaria who raise awareness, motivate, and support researchers or students on the topic of entrepreneurship. Both existing and future concepts – for example, for (teaching) events, campaigns, or competitions – can be submitted.
The focus is on particularly creative, easily implementable ideas and the personal commitment of those involved. The ideas should be visible within the framework of the competition and transferable to other universities as best practice examples.
The event is organized by HOCHSPRUNG, the network of start-up consultants and entrepreneurship lecturers at universities in Bavaria.
Participant
Institutions and individuals from all public and private universities in Bavaria, including technology transfer offices, startup consultants, student initiatives, and university staff who are not directly involved in entrepreneurship, are eligible. Multiple submissions per university are permitted. Each team or individual may only submit one concept to the competition.
Application
The application is one-stage and the concept sketch including implementation plan must by 12 October 2015 at the latest by mail The concept must not have been applied for or approved for any funding (e.g., EXIST, ERDF). The evaluation will be carried out by an independent jury of experts from the field of entrepreneurship. The decisive criteria for the award are the originality, degree of innovation, and the feasibility and transferability of the idea.
Awards
The HOCHSPRUNG Award will be presented at an evening event on November 18, 2015, at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. The three best concepts will receive prize money to implement their ideas:
1st place: 2,500 euros
2nd place: 1,500 euros
3rd place: 1,000 euros
