Every year, the Business Angels Network Germany (BAND) searches for the business angel with the best nose. This year, the investor with the most pronounced instinct will be awarded the title Golden Nose The award is intended to publicize the success stories of experienced angel investors and their portfolio companies, thereby motivating other entrepreneurs to invest capital and expertise in young, innovative companies. Proposals can be submitted until March 31, 2018.
Who can be nominated
Candidates for the title of "Business Angel of the Year 2018" are those who, in addition to their investment, have provided significant support to their startup(s) through their own network and expertise, and who can potentially demonstrate initial exit success. The investment must have been made after December 31, 2013, and the investor must have their primary residence in Germany.
How the nomination process works
Nominations for the "Business Angel of the Year 2018" award are accepted from all startups in which they have invested. They should highlight what they, as young entrepreneurs, particularly value about working with their business angel. The same investor may also be nominated by multiple startups.

When is the “Golden Nose” awarded?
The award is Golden Nose by a select jury consisting of members of the "BAND Heaven of Fame" and ecosystem stakeholders. The winner will be honored and inducted into the exclusive circle of members of the "BAND Heaven of Fame" at the "German Business Angels Day 2018" on June 17-18.
