Celonis is exceeding its own revenue targets and is now planning four additional offices abroad. The Munich-based process analysis startup is opening offices in London, San Francisco, Chicago, and another American city.
Celonis now employs 300 people, 40 of whom are in New York. startup scene reveals co-founder Alexander Rinke, who heads the New York office, said that the Munich-based company aimed to double its revenue in the current fiscal year, but now expects to triple. The US business is making a decisive contribution to this growth: In the next fiscal year, the company aims to generate every second euro of revenue overseas. Celonis continues to operate profitably, according to Rinke. He declined to disclose company profits.
Celonis secured the funds for its first step into the USA in 2016 from the investment firms Accel Partners and 83North. Facebook investors invested $27.5 million in the Munich-based company. Further capital raising is not planned for the upcoming expansion.

Rinke gives himself up to startup scene modest towards:
“As a founder, you quickly contribute relatively little to the overall company output.”
Recruiting therefore plays a correspondingly important role at the company. Last year alone, Rinke says, he spoke with 1,000 applicants:
“That’s about two hours a day, that’s fine.”
