VIR Innovation Competition “Springboard”: Application phase is underway!

Are you active in the digital travel industry with your startup? Then apply now for the "Sprungbrett" innovation competition. The competition is sponsored by Association of Internet Travel Sales eV (VIR). The application period ends on April 15, 2018.

The VIR's "Sprungbrett" innovation competition has a clear mission: to support and promote people with innovative ideas and start-ups in the digital tourism sector. This should open up new avenues for participants, including important contacts with well-known representatives of the digital tourism industry. Participants in the innovation competition also have the opportunity to present their ideas to a specialist audience of numerous decision-makers in the tourism industry.

You want to apply?

Then check whether your product or service meets the following requirements. The product/service is:

  • innovative & digital,
  • offers real added value,
  • has been on the market for less than 12 months and
  • is relevant for the digital travel market.

And how does the competition work?

The “Springboard” innovation competition consists of two phases:

1. Open application phase

Using the registration form, you have the opportunity to submit your application in the form of a predefined presentation. Application deadline is April 15, 2018.

After the application deadline, a preliminary jury will evaluate all innovations. The five best ideas will receive an invitation to the finals at the Innovation Days in Berlin.

2. Final at the Innovation Days

The finalists will be able to present their idea to a specialist audience of numerous decision-makers in the tourism industry at the VIR Online Innovation Days.
Each applicant has exactly 7 minutes for his or her presentation.

The jury – consisting of VIR members and partners – awards points for the presentations. The winners will be announced that evening during the VIR Award Night.
