The digitalization of the economy and society is also making inroads into the leisure and travel industry. The speed with which young companies with new business models are entering the market requires the industry to rethink and, in many areas, to adapt its traditional business practices. How can the digital transformation the tourism industry be a success? Startups can offer decisive added value with their services!
Therefore, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Munich and Upper Bavaria, the DEHOGA Bayern e. V. / District of Upper Bavaria and Tourism Upper Bavaria Munich eV (TOM) Startups within the framework of Tourism Forum Upper Bavaria 2015 to a pitch.
As a founder, you can showcase the digital solution you offer to the tourism industry. Take advantage of this opportunity to present yourself to the Upper Bavarian tourism community and network with them!
You feel addressed? You are right if your startup maximum 5 years old and has at least one functional prototypes has.
Date of the Tourism Forum Upper Bavaria 2015 is Monday, 26 October 2015 from 10:00 to 16:00 in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Academy in Munich.
The application deadline is September 15, 2015!
The three partners select five start-ups that have the greatest relevance for the target group in an internal committee.
following Criteria play a role, among others:
- Idea / Originality
- Benefits/added value for tourists or benefits/added value for companies that should use the start-up's services
- previous experience in the industry (industry expertise)
If you are one of them, you have around 100 participants from the Upper Bavarian tourism industry the opportunity to present your product in a pitch (approx. five minutes) and to expand on it during the subsequent networking.

After the event we will publish online a Overview of all startupswho have applied to participate, so that as many people as possible can gain an overview of industry-relevant solutions from the digital world.
