ClimateLaunchpad: Cleantech ideas wanted

ClimateLaunchpad is the largest idea competition for green startups. The competition aims to promote cleantech ideas. Applications for the current round are open until May 17.

Anyone with a promising cleantech idea can participate—whether they're a startup, researcher, student, consultant, developer, or public organization. A fully developed business plan is not required. The following are the prerequisites for participation:

  • Your own company is either not yet founded or is no more than one year old,
  • Applicants have so far raised less than 200,000 euros in funding for their project and
  • To date, no products, solutions or prototypes have been sold for commercial purposes.

ClimateLaunchpad provides access to the Climate-KIC Accelerator

Anyone who falls under these conditions can still register until May 17 apply hereSelected startups will participate in a bootcamp on June 7 and 8. The German final will take place on June 25.

The three best-placed German finalists will then take part in the grand finale in November 2018 and have the chance to win a place in the Climate-KIC Accelerator — without having to pitch there again. In addition, the international winner of the ClimateLaunchpad will receive €10,000. The runner-up will receive €5,000, and the third-place winner will receive €2,500.
