Flixbus founders invest in Lanes & Planes

Munich-based Lanes & Planes has received a seven-figure investment. Investors include Flixbusfounder, the venture capitalist Connect Ventures from London and Andy Goldstein, CEO of LMU EC, Holidaycheck Supervisory Board member Dr. Thomas Döring and other business angels.

The Munich-based travel management startup Lanes & Planes offers small and medium-sized companies a digital solution for business travel. This enables customers to save up to 30 percent on travel and processing costs. With the fresh capital, the startup plans to further develop its technology and initially expand in Germany. Co-founder Veit Blumschein says:

"Anyone who travels for business knows how frustrating booking and invoicing business trips can be. We quickly asked ourselves why there are so many good B2C solutions like Kayak or Trivago, but none that meet the specific needs of business travel with the same ease of use but with B2B quality—a market with a volume of €150 billion in Europe."

Lanes & Planes founders had early support

The two founders, Veit Blumschein and Daniel Nolte, founded the mobility startup fromAtoB in 2008, which has since been acquired by Tank & Rast. Flixbus founder Jochen Engert says about the investment:

“We have known Veit and Daniel for many years, and when we first saw the product, it was immediately clear to all of us that we wanted to support them from the very beginning.”

Lanes & Planes was founded in Munich in July 2017. Previously, the team developed the technology behind the company together with the Munich-based company builder Mantro.
