Successful financing round for Catchys

The Munich startup Catchys announces a successful financing round. A high six-figure investment is intended to secure the continued growth of the secondhand fashion platform.

The metasearch engine Catchys offers a selection of used fashion items from international online shops with over five million products. Users use the platform to compare prices and gain a market overview of design classics and bargains. The platform has also become an important marketing channel for B2B customers – the partner shops.

Rapid growth convinces investors

The rapid growth on both the user and customer side has now convinced a round of investors. The Munich-based FashTech startup secured a high six-figure investment from Famos, the Otten family's family office, the investor network Rotonda Investor Office, founder and marketing expert Dr. Sepita Ansari, and Dr. Egbert Willam, an internationally renowned startup investor.

Arne Paul Oltmann, Managing Director of Rotonda Investor Office, on the deal:

“Catchy’s figures have developed excellently, and the startup operates in the highly interesting second-hand market, where we see great potential.”

Also Dr. Sepita Ansari, founder of the digital marketing agency Catbird Seat, is convinced of the Munich startup:

“Catchys is the first platform to focus on the rapidly growing second-hand segment and has quickly established itself as the market leader in this sector.”

In addition to his investment, he will also support the startup with his marketing expertise.

Internationalization and new features planned

As early as 2015, the fashion tech startup received funding from various business angels, including Alexander Brand (windeln.de) or Philipp Frenkel (Mister Spex). Since 2017, ProSiebenSat.1 as a strategic partner part of Catchys’ social circle – a TV campaign is planned to further strengthen the pioneering role in Germany.

“For Catchys and our team, this new round of financing is a very important step to further scale our model, develop new features for our customers, and soon establish Catchys as a strong brand internationally,”
