#Improve: Cultural and creative pilots wanted

The award “Culture and Creative Pilots Germany” is presented on behalf of the Federal Government each year to 32 companies from the Cultural and creative industries and their interfaces. We are looking for people who demonstrate courage, commitment, and constantly ask themselves: What can I do better? Creative individuals from all federal states can apply with their ideas, companies, and projects until July 1, 2018.

The Federal Government's award gives creative entrepreneurs throughout Germany the opportunity to further develop their ideas and projects. 256 creative companies have already been honored in the past eight years, 92 percent of which are still successful in the market today. Cultural and creative industries is increasing both politically and economically.

Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Peter Altmaier says:

"To meet the challenges of the future and to continue to be perceived as a center of innovation, the potential of the cultural and creative industries should be increasingly harnessed. The 32 cultural and creative pilot projects that we, the federal government, honor annually contribute to this."

Winners receive a one-year mentoring program

All companies, self-employed individuals, founders, and projects from the cultural and creative industries and their interfaces with other sectors are welcome to apply. Whether alone or with the entire team, whether the idea is only on paper or already being implemented.

Applications can be submitted until 1 July 2018 via Online form be submitted. Three things are sufficient:

  • A brief description of the idea,
  • some information about the person or team and
  • a short letter of motivation explaining why you want to become a cultural and creative pilot.

In addition to the award, the winners of the "Culture and Creative Pilots Germany" award participate in a one-year mentoring program. This includes workshops, support from two coaches, exchanges with other teams and experts, and nationwide attention.
