Holtzbrinck Ventures (HV) is launching a seed financing program with financing amounts between €50,000 and €500,000. The VC aims to make investing in early-stage startups faster and easier.
HV-Partner says about the background of the newly launched program David Kuczek:
“We often see great teams with great ideas and would like to support them even earlier in their entrepreneurial journey.”
According to the company, investments in some of HV's most successful portfolio companies, such as Zalando, Lieferheld, and Ottonova, began in the seed round. Kuczek says:
“The new seed program builds on this successful history.”
“Less than two weeks until the money arrives in the account”
The new program is designed to provide founders with faster access to capital while reducing administrative overhead. Investments are available in various forms: an equity investment, a convertible loan, or a Simple Option for Future Equity (SOFE).
"The revised process is tailored to the specific needs of founders in the seed phase. They can access the capital they need more easily, quickly, and affordably."
says Christian Saller, General Partner at HV.
"When founders present their company to us, we decide within one to two weeks whether to invest. After the decision, it takes less than two weeks for the money to arrive in the founders' accounts."
The seed program is part of the ongoing the company's seventh fund with a total volume of 306 million euros.
