The Munich-based software company Testbirds is continuing to grow and has received further investments of seven million euros in a fourth financing round.
Internationalization and new technologies
The testing specialist was able to attract new investors BayBG and the Bavaria Capital managed growth fund Bavaria. Existing investors Seventure Partners, Extorel, and b-to-v also participated in the current round. The multi-million-euro investment will be invested in the international expansion of the Testbirds team and in the development of new technologies.
Further expand leadership position
With 100 employees, offices in several European countries and an international crowd of over 300,000 registered testers as well as innovative technology, the Munich-based startup, founded in 2011, tests websites and apps for its clients for error-freeness, usability and acceptance.
"We are very pleased to have gained the trust of two new investors and convinced them of our business model. With this investment, we intend to further expand our team and strengthen our position as one of the leading providers in the field of software testing,"
says Philipp Benkler, founder and managing director of Testbirds.
The IT service provider counts numerous renowned companies, such as Deutsche Telekom, Audi, Deutsche Post, Henkel, Payback, n-tv and Western Union, among its customers.
An impressive development
In addition to crowdtesting, the company also offers cloud-based services for testing software applications.
"Testbirds has established itself as an expert in software testing over the past few years and has continuously expanded its business model. With our commitment, we are enabling the Munich-based testing specialist to drive its innovations and become even more active in the market,"
said BayBG investment manager Andreas Heubl.
Roman Huber, Managing Director of Bayern Kapital, adds:
"Testbirds has developed impressively in recent years and can now count itself as one of the leading crowd-testing providers. The participation of the Bavarian Growth Fund in the current financing round should help the company stay on track for success and continue its growth trajectory."
