Paulaner supports social projects

For the second time, the Munich-based Paulaner Brewery is awarding a prize for social projects in Munich, the Paulaner Salvator Prize 2018. The prize is endowed with up to 80,000 euros.

Paulaner supports the winners with up to 80,000 euros and aims to use the money to provide start-up financing for new projects. July 30 Individuals, non-profit organizations and socially oriented companies can apply.

“To good neighbors”

Last year the prize was awarded for the first time. Andreas Steinfatt, Managing Director of the Paulaner Brewery and jury member, says:

"Last year, almost 100 individuals and initiatives submitted their applications. We were impressed by the creative and diverse ideas."

Four projects received funding in 2017: the association “Brot am Haken”, the Young Alliance for Refugees, the Clubhaus München Giesing and the association Juno.

On this year’s theme “To good neighbors” says Christiane Uhl, Managing Director at Paulaner and also a jury member:

“A functioning neighborhood can achieve a lot — because problems are often best solved together and locally.”

The application deadline is July 30, 2018. A nine-member jury will then select the winners. The winner(s) will be announced at an awards ceremony in November 2018. Following the award, the one-year funding period begins.
