s.Oliver becomes partner of the Retailtech Hub

The s.Oliver Group is the first fashion company to enter into a partnership with Retailtech Hub in Munich. The group, based in Rottendorf, Lower Franconia, aims to identify technology startups and implement joint projects with them.

The Retailtech Hub sees itself as an innovation platform for future-oriented companies and startups. The accelerator was launched last year by MediaMarktSaturn and Plug and Play. In addition to s.Oliver, the other partners of the Retailtech Hub include the supermarket chains Kaufland and Lidl, the electronics stores Mediamarkt and Saturn, and the asset management company Aachener Grundvermögen.

s.Oliver wants to “engage with the latest solutions and technologies from around the world”

Startups can on-line apply for the accelerator. Around ten startups will then receive three months of coaching and implement a pilot project together with one of the partner companies from the retail sector. This allows the young companies to validate their technologies on the market.

Dr. Dirk Schneider, Chief Digital Officer of the s.Oliver Group, says:

"We are already very active in this area. Through this partnership, we also ensure that we are continuously engaged with the latest solutions and technologies from around the world, enabling us to further inspire our customers with innovations."

Thorsten Marquardt, Managing Director of the Retailtech Hub, adds:

"With now more than 20 startups and companies from sectors ranging from fashion to food and consumer electronics to retail real estate, we are steadily getting closer to our goal of building a comprehensive, Europe-wide platform with which we want to jointly shape the future of retail."
