Good news for startups in the digital media sector: The Media Lab Bayern will be able to support not only pre-founders but also startups in later stages.
The Media Lab Bayern As an ideas incubator for digital journalism, it has already helped several startups get off the ground. In the future, however, support will no longer be limited to pre-founders, but also to existing startups. This, at least, was announced by Minister-President Söder during the presentation of digital flagship projects in Bavaria. Another innovation is the creation of a branch of the Media Lab in Ansbach.
New opportunities for founders
"Bavaria is fully committed to digitalization. We are deliberately investing in digital incubators and media labs to better support the media startup scene. This creates new opportunities for founders,"
says media minister George Eisenreich.
Siegfried Schneider, President of the Bavarian State Office for New Media (BLM), says:
"With a small budget and big ideas, the Media Lab has developed into a nationally recognized hub for innovation in the media sector within just three years. We are pleased to be able to pass on this know-how in the future, not only to pre-founders, but also to existing startups and at our new location in Ansbach."
