Orgatec: Stand space and award for Proptech startups

In October 2018, startups from the architecture and construction industry will have the opportunity for the first time to present their ideas and products at the Startup Corner at Orgatec in Cologne. Exhibitors also have the chance to win an award. Startups in proptech, design, and architecture can apply for an exhibition space until August 31.

The new platform for startups on the Orgatec, the leading trade fair for working environments relating to offices and properties, is intended to give young companies access to their target groups and potential investors.

Although we have flissade, Building Radar, Caala or Casavi Munich boasts several PropTech startups. However, the number of young entrepreneurs from the architecture and real estate sectors is small compared to other industries. Therefore, there is still a lack of visibility and platforms for startups in this field.

To change this, the Startup Corner was launched at Orgatec 2018. This will provide a dedicated exhibition area for startups from the architecture and construction industries for the first time. A total of 15-20 startups will be selected to present their innovations to visitors of the leading trade fair for modern working environments. The target group is new companies from the fields of architecture, construction and technology, engineering, facility management, IT & services, and working environments. The cost of the exhibition space is €555. In return, the startups receive a demo space, PR support, a pitch opportunity on stage, and the chance to win an award. Building Radar from Munich is already there.

There is also an award to be won

In addition to the exhibition space, the area features a stage offering an interesting program for three days, from October 23 to 25. This will include daily pitches from startups, as well as experts and representatives from established companies. The event will conclude with the STARTUP AWARD Architecture & Building ceremony. This award recognizes pioneering technologies and services that are driving global success in the construction industry.

Startups can apply until August 31, 2018 apply for a stand here.
