Heiko Huber has taken over the management of the UnternehmerTUM accelerator TechFounders. As Managing Director, his task is to connect established companies such as Miele, ADAC, Festo, and Knorr-Bremse with innovative tech startups and initiate collaborations.
Huber brings extensive experience at the interface between startups and industry: Most recently, he was responsible for startup investments and employee spin-offs at Siemens' Next47 venture unit. Previously, he worked for McKinsey and Daimler, among others, and co-founded a successful startup, eGym.
“Just the right one”
“Heiko Huber is exactly the right person to take TechFounders further,”
says Dr. Helmut Schönenberger, Managing Director of UnternehmerTUM, which also includes the TechFounders accelerator program.
"His greatest strength is that he understands the needs of both startups and corporations. He helps young companies grow because he knows from his own experience what they need. Because he has also worked in corporations himself, he has a deep understanding of how to successfully establish collaborations between established companies and startups."
Founding teams benefit twice
Heiko Huber about his new task:
"I'm delighted to be on board at TechFounders. Collaborations between young companies with innovative solutions and established champions are a win-win situation. We identify the most exciting startups worldwide for our industry partners and initiate pilot projects that help develop innovative products and digitize traditional business models. The founding teams benefit twice over. In addition to the paid pilot project, they receive individual coaching and access to our unique network of mentors and investors."
