The application phase for the digital scholarship "THINK DIGITAL – the scholarship for lateral thinkers and visionaries" is currently underway. The initiator of the first digital scholarship for students in the Munich metropolitan region is the Internet Business Cluster (IBC) eV, a cooperative venture between the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, the University of Regensburg, and leading German digital companies.
The Bavarian State Minister for Digital, Media and Europe George Eisenreich has taken over the patronage of the scholarship:
"The digital industry is already an important employer and will become even more relevant in the future. This means that digital skills will continue to gain importance. The THINK DIGITAL scholarship promotes precisely this and thus makes an important contribution to digital education in Bavaria."
The scholarship is aimed at Bachelor's (at least third semester) and Master's students of all disciplines who are enrolled at a university or college in the Munich metropolitan region. The application deadline for the scholarship is October 28, 2018.
Digital scholarship is valid for one year
The scholarship is valid for 12 months and begins on November 29, 2018. Students receive the following benefits: access to exciting conferences, learning events with Google Zukunftswerkstatt, IBM, and netlight, as well as a unique network in the digital industry.
In addition, each scholarship recipient will receive a new MacBook Air, a free Xing Premium membership, and a learning budget of €250, which can be used flexibly for software, courses, and events. Interested students can email their questions to scholarship@ibc-muenchen.com direct.
