Medikura announces two pieces of good news: The health startup has completed its first round of financing and has also been awarded the “Bavarian Innovation Prize for Health Telematics.”
Medikura successfully completed its first round of financing. The Munich-based startup has developed a platform to provide information about drug side effects. At the same time, patients can quickly and automatically report their side effects to their treating physician and the respective pharmaceutical companies. The platform is designed to enable direct communication between patients, physicians, and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
The eHealth startup was able to secure public grants totaling €200,000 for this idea. The founding team received its most recent financial support in the form of funding from the European Commission. Specifically, the "SME Instrument Phase 1 Grant“ groundbreaking innovation projects with market-creating potential.
Awarded the “Bavarian Innovation Award for Health Telematics”
In addition to the funding, Medikura was also awarded third place in the Bavarian Innovation Award for Health Telematics at the Bavarian "Telemedicine Day." The award recognizes innovative eHealth projects that demonstrate how the use of health telematics solutions can sustainably improve patient care and collaboration between healthcare stakeholders. Medikura's idea addresses both areas.
