The Munich-based startup Banovo cooperates with TchiboCustomers of the Hamburg-based retailer can purchase a complete bathroom renovation online. Planning and preliminary discussions also take place online.
The new bathroom is planned using 3D software. Discussions about the scope and type of renovations are then conducted via video conference. The Banovo founders Mareike Wächter and Michael Dreimann say:
"Our team has now built up a wealth of experience. We can also plan complex renovations with customers and carry them out nationwide through our local partners and our own tradespeople. We also use digital processes to make things easier and more cost-effective for our customers."
The work is carried out by the craftsmen from a single source and at a fixed price; the startup provides a construction manager.
Founders come from management consulting
Banovo was founded in February 2015. The two founders met while working for the consulting firm Bain & Company. After stints at Check24 and Planet Sports, Mareike Wächter and Michael Dreimann launched the company together.
