The non-profit initiative Startup Teens has been named "Founder of the Year" in the "Education" category. The "Founder of the Year Award," presented by Gründer.de for the first time this year, is intended to honor the most impressive stories from the German-speaking startup scene.
From the finalists of the online voting in a total of eight categories, the expert jury selected Rubin Lind and his company Skills4School as the overall winner of “Founder of the Year 2018”.
"Startup Teens empowers young people like Rubin Lind and supports them on their journey. It's easy to forget that Startup Teens itself is still a very young initiative. We are very pleased about this award,"
says the entrepreneur and co-founder of Startup Teens, Verena Pausder.
Former Startup Teen is Founder of the Year
Startup Teens received the most votes across all categories in the online voting, with almost 2,400 votes.
“The great support from our networks of students, founders, entrepreneurs, representatives of universities and economic development agencies and especially the great commitment of our founding city Hamm have impressed us incredibly,”
is glad Hauke Schwiezer, co-founder and managing director of Startup Teens. With Rubin Lind, not only is another founder from Hamm honored, but also a Startup Teens participant from the very beginning.
Big names on board
The second regional office of Startup Teens in Germany is based in Munich, more precisely in WERK1. Here, the initiative is striving to increase its involvement in Bavaria. A few big names are also involved. In addition to the TheSimpleClub founders who recently joined the project, also counts the Former footballer and current entrepreneur Philipp Lahm to the supporters.
