It's my data included in Telekom's Techboost funding program

The Munich-based start-up It's my data is now part of Deutsche Telekom's TechBoost program and receives support in sales and marketing as well as 100,000 euros for telecommunications and IT solutions.

Founded in 2017, the data portal offers every citizen the opportunity to create a data account and store their personal data. This allows all data stored by companies, credit agencies, and social networks to be consolidated, understood, and controlled. The technology makes it easier to request and organize personal data and helps with deleting or correcting it.

Users can exercise their rights under the GDPR

Through the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), companies are obligated to disclose all personal data. It's my data ensures that every citizen can effectively enforce this right. Each user determines who has access to their data, what it is used for, and whether they provide it to companies in return for payment. The Munich-based startup itself has no access to the stored data – it is encrypted and belongs exclusively to the user.

Hitting the nerve of the times

“The Techboost program and the cooperation with Deutsche Telekom give us the opportunity to establish valuable contacts and benefit from the technological know-how of a large corporation,”

says it's my data founder and co-CEO Alexander Sieverts.

"We are delighted with the trust placed in us and that with It's my data we are clearly hitting the nerve of the times."
