Airgreets was able to prevail against 17 other young companies at the International Startup Summit and wins a startup trip to New York.
The Munich-based startup handles the subletting of private apartments. Anyone who wants to sublet their own apartment through portals like Airbnb has a lot of work to do: From photographing the apartment for the listing to handing over the keys upon arrival to cleaning after the guests leave. Airgreets takes care of this work and charges a quarter of the rental income as commission.
Startup Summit sends airgreets to New York
The startup is now eligible to participate in a trip to New York as part of the German American Chamber of Commerce's "Startup & Entrepreneur" program. The program takes place quarterly and has helped more than 200 German startups enter the US market in New York, Boston, and Silicon Valley since its launch in 2014.
Founded in July 2016, the startup Airgreets claims to have already managed more than 10,000 overnight stays. The company currently operates in six German cities and sublets over 400 private apartments. In spring The company received an investment of one million euros from private investors and family offices for further growth.
