Get out of the garage! The first Zündfunk Startup Prize

Selected, appealing startups will pitch for the first Zündfunk Startup Prize. Each team will have a sporty three minutes to present their project, and the Netzkongress audience will ultimately choose the winner.

The pitch will be accompanied by Dr. Ingo Potthof: He has been supporting young startups for many years and is Managing Partner of Venture capital fund “UnternehmerTUM” from the Technical University of Munich. He talks with host Bärbel Wossagk about underestimated and overestimated problems when founding a company, current trends in the startup scene, and how easy or difficult it is to get financing right now.

Bavarian startups with both big and small plans are invited. "The next Google" probably won't be on stage, but there are exciting projects that are definitely not evil:

www.aquakin.com wants to bring completely new types of micro-hydropower plants to the market and has raised almost one million through crowdfunding

www.myo.de Two designers from Munich develop do-it-yourself furniture and supply the crucial connecting parts from the 3D printer

www.regional-markt.de Delivers fresh cakes from the farm outside the city directly to your kitchen. Each farmer is personally introduced, and only the cake you order is baked.

www.enziano.com delivers climbing and hiking tours from renowned publishers and authors to your smartphone or tablet. The iTunes for climbers – leave the bulky tour book at home.

www.natehelps.com wants to support social projects with what is essentially annoying advertising. The reward for the advertiser: they get the entire phone screen, and the reward for the user: they get donations for the project of their choice.
