A recent study names the Technical University of Munich (TUM) as the most startup-friendly large university in Germany. Munich University of Applied Sciences (HM) follows in second place in the "Startup Radar."
For the third time in a row TUM ranks first among large German universities in the "Startup Radar" survey. Around 70 companies are founded at the university each year. HM, another Munich university, takes second place in the nationwide ranking. Saarland University follows in third place. A total of 36 educational institutions with more than 15,000 students were compared in the "large universities" category. TUM achieved almost the maximum score of 11.8 out of 12 possible points. HM achieved 11.6 points.
