Drivelock, one of the leading international specialists in IT and data security for industrial production and office environments, acquired the business operations of Charismathics GmbH at the end of last year. This also includes the US subsidiary in Austin, Texas (USA). Drivelock will retain the Munich-based company's employees and will continue to continuously develop its solution in the future.
Charismathics is a leading provider of intelligent authentication solutions, particularly for government agencies and large international corporations. Founded in 2004, the company's customer base includes Fortune 500 clients in the aerospace, oil and gas, banking, and government sectors worldwide. These existing customers of the Munich-based startup will continue to receive the same level of support.
“The next logical step”
With the takeover, Drivelock its product portfolio and, with the help of the middleware developed by the Munich-based company, will support over 100 physical and virtual smart cards in the Drivelock software platform.
