From startups to large corporations, companies are desperately seeking experts capable of shaping digital transformation. With the new Master's program in Digital Business Modeling and Entrepreneurship (MA), HDBW is training digitalization specialists. The next program begins on March 15, 2019. Particularly interesting for Bavarian companies or founders: the program is also available part-time.
The program is aimed at employees with a background in business administration, industrial engineering, and (business) informatics. Graduates of the "Master's in Digital Business Modeling and Entrepreneurship" program should be able to develop digital ideas and visions and implement them sustainably within their companies.
Ideally, they possess a business management, strategy, and process perspective, as well as the necessary technological expertise. Furthermore, according to the Bavarian Business University, they are aware of the customer and competitive perspective, as well as legal, ethical, and corporate culture issues.
Digitalization visionaries need entrepreneurial skills
The English-language degree program is unique in Europe in this form, according to the university.
"In this master's program, we deliberately combine digital business models with entrepreneurship. Why? Quite simply: Digitalization visionaries and implementers in existing companies need the same skills as founders: It's about developing ideas and revenue models, building completely new structures and processes, persuading people, and, last but not least, establishing new business models sustainably."
says Prof. Carsten Bartsch, Vice President of HDBW, founder, management consultant and co-developer of the new degree program.
