Tandem Camp—Fraunhofer Venture's startup collaboration—is entering a new round. 40 teams have already received funding through this program. The application period for the new batch is open until March 10.
If Fraunhofer researchers and startups are planning or want to further develop joint projects, Tandem Camp is the perfect place for them. The Fraunhofer Venture program offers the opportunity to receive not only expert support but also a project budget. The application period for Tandem Camp 2019 runs until March 10. Startups that are still looking for a suitable Fraunhofer tandem partner can receive support with matchmaking.
All submissions will be reviewed for the following criteria:
- Founding team makes a professional impression, startup's business model is validated and well thought out
- Resources for the implementation of the cooperation are provided by both sides (time, people, possibly own budget)
- Cooperation project pursues an innovative joint business model with high market potential
- The aim of the cooperation is to exploit Fraunhofer know-how or technology
- Cooperation projects with a medium to long-term time horizon are preferred

- Kick-off workshop to successfully initiate cooperation and define the joint roadmap
- Pitch training for targeted cooperation applications
- Individual tandem coaching by cooperation coaches
- Project budgets for the first cooperation steps
- Business and product design workshops
