appliedAI initiative expands partner network

Last year in April, the UnternehmerTUM presented its appliedAIinitiative. One year later, the initiative has grown to nearly 40 partners, including IBM. The goal is to increase the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in Germany and Europe.

The appliedAI initiative includes organizations, startups, entrepreneurs, developers, students, and professors. The initiative aims to educate companies, in particular, on the potential of AI. The network helps all participants further develop and test AI applications. At the same time, appliedAI supports them in building expertise and accessing the technology. IBM, as a new partner, plays a particularly important role here.

“IBM is uniquely positioned to add real value to the appliedAI initiative,”

says Alexander Waldmann, Operational Director of the appliedAI initiative.

“Our members gain access to state-of-the-art IT infrastructure, workshops, development tools, and industry expertise that make the AI company of the future possible.”

This will enable companies, in particular, to implement AI more quickly and intelligently digitize their processes. The American company's hybrid multicloud environment supports this, as it is analytically capable and specifically designed for AI applications. This is particularly suitable for developing and testing AI-based solutions. For example, the applications can be used to create a knowledge graph with millions of documents in just a few hours and to interpret various structured and unstructured data at a rate of thousands of documents per hour. IBM Watson AI was also recently opened to all cloud platforms, enabling exchange between different systems.
